NSF IDM 2003 Home

Welcome Message

Welcome to the NSF Information and Data Management (IDM) Workshop web page. This is the sixth year of the IDM workshop. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together researchers supported by the IDM program and researchers or practitioners from related areas to report on new results in the area of information and data management, to spark ideas for new research directions, and to foster interaction between researchers at colleges, universities, industry, and funding agencies.

This year's workshop program will be held September 14-16 at the Renaissance Madison Hotel in Seattle, Washington. The program features invited presentations, live demonstrations of current work, presentations and discussions of current work, and group brainstorming sessions focused on emerging research areas. The IDM 2003 workshop proceedings will be made available at the meeting and online, and a report highlighting events and discussions will be made available online following the workshop.

Our goal is to promote novel ideas and facilitate intellectual interchange among the IDM and ITR participants and other research areas and application domains. We encourage suggestions for the workshop format, recommendations of invited speakers, and other ideas, and will try to respond to related questions.

If you want to reach only the organizers, please send email to nsf2003@cs.washington.edu.

We look forward to seeing you in September!
